Here at Casterton Secondary College we strive to provide all our students with a comprehensive, engaging and relevant education for their future

Casterton Secondary College has over a fifty year history and is nestled in a picturesque valley surrounded by rolling red gum hills. The Glenelg River meanders through the township. Casterton is 353km. west of Melbourne and is approximately 70 km. from Hamilton in Western Victoria and Mt. Gambier and the Coonawarra districts in the South East of South Australia. Casterton Secondary College services the needs and provides opportunities for the people of Strathdownie, Dergholm, Coleraine, Merino and Casterton.

Our Facilities

Trade Training Centre

The Casterton and District Trade Training Centre enables students to use state of the art facilities. Classes in Agriculture, Sheet material, and Automotive studies are regularly held in the TTC.

Applied Science Centre

The Applied Science Centre is used to conduct a range of activities such as; wine making, fish farming, agriculture, viticulture, biology, horticulture and sustainable food production.

School Farm

The farm enables us to offer studies in Agriculture and Horticulture to students from all year levels in our school as well as providing an outdoor resource for other subject areas, such as Applied Science.
